Hog Roast Shipley – Speciality Dining for a Very Special 80th

Our dining at Hog Roast Shipley is here to allow our customers the opportunity to mark the most special occasions in life the proper way: surrounded by good people and dining on good foods. That experience is there for the likes of anniversaries, job promotions, Christmas time parties, and, of course, birthdays.

To tell you more about this extraordinary day- Marco and the Hog Roast Shipley opted for a classic hog roast menu to mark such a perfect occasion. The classics are the best for a reason, and our hog roast has been enjoyed at birthday events going on three decades now – a mere blip along an impressive 80 year life, however! Still, as soon as we heard 80th we new it had to be our hog roast, but that alone would not suffice for such a remarkable occasion. Even served along with its typical accompaniments of fresh sage and onion stuffing, golden crackling, and refreshing apple sauce, head chef Marco still figured that the menu needed something more. So, he dipped into our extra special gourmet BBQ menu and brought along our butcher’s sausages and marinated grilled chicken thighs to add to the hog roast classic. This provided added choice for the 45 guests in attendance, each there to share in a brilliant celebration of life lived and lived well. With a plate already piled high with pork, crackling, stuffing, sausages and chicken thighs, more room was to be made for our mixed leaves salad, tomato and mozzarella salad, gourmet slaw, herb dressed new potatoes, and veggie friendly accompaniment of grilled veg and halloumi skewers with sweet chilli and tzatziki dip.

Now if that isn’t a menu to match up to an 80th birthday, we’re not all too sure what is!
