When Nicky and Ben were planning their son Alfie’s christening, they knew they wanted it to be a memorable, fun-filled day with an abundance of delicious food to keep their guests happy. So, after a glowing recommendation from a close friend, they chose Hog Roast Rusper to cater for their celebration. Spoiler alert: we were a hit!
With the Sussex sun shining brightly at a perfect 22 degrees, Alfie’s christening after-party kicked off in the best possible way at Nicky and Ben’s home.
Leading the culinary charge was our star catering manager, Marco. With the weather in our favour, the hog roast cooked faster than usual, and the result was mouth-wateringly delicious. Guests couldn’t get enough of the juicy, tender pulled pork and the crackling that had just the right amount of crunch to it. Even those following meat-free diets were impressed with the colourful grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers we presented, which were even more delicious when paired with fresh tzatziki dip and sweet chilli sauce.
We didn’t forget the kiddos either! Hog Roast Rusper’s homemade hot dogs were on the menu, and they were devoured with glee. To complement the mains, we offered refreshing salads and buttery new potatoes tossed in chives, which added a burst of flavour and colour to the plates.
For a touch of elegance and constant snacking pleasure, Italian charcuterie boards were placed on each dining table. Guests enjoyed picking at the deli meats, fine cheeses, and artisan breads throughout the day.
As the party rolled on, it was time for dessert, and we did not disappoint. Profiteroles and summer pudding drenched in fresh cream had everyone’s sweet tooth satisfied and left the guests buzzing with joy.
Nicky and Ben were thrilled with how smoothly everything went. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch and best of all, they didn’t have to worry about a thing. We handled everything from serving to cleaning up, leaving them free to soak up every special moment with Alfie and their loved ones.
