What is Hog Roasting?
Hog roast catering is where the customer hires a catering service to come to their event (weddings, birthdays, or, just a good old knees up) and spit roast pork, beef joints and lamb. Now not just hog roast is available, other services and benefits are open to choose from, such as catering staff, chefs and staff to set up equipment. Also extra benefits can include meat being provided if requested, salads, apple sauce, a selection of breads and hot jacket potatoes and puddings. The hog roast also falls neatly into the category of foods regularly enjoyed by those in the area, with those lovers of the pork pie and pressed fruit drinks sure to delight in the tender and juicy pork meat of the traditionally cooked hog.

Do you provide Vegetarian or Vegan alternatives?
Yes! We understand that not everyone eats meat, so we offer a range of vegetarian and vegan options, such as Grilled Vegetable and Halloumi Skewers, and BBQ Pulled Jackfruit. Just let us know your preferences when booking. If you did have any other requests, do let us know and we can look into this for you!
Can you cater for weddings, corporate events, or private parties?
Yes! We cater for all types of events, from relaxed garden parties and birthdays to elegant weddings to corporate gatherings. Every event is different, and we tailor our service to suit your theme, style, and guest list.
For weddings, we can offer a complete catering experience, including canapés, evening hog roast buffets, and dessert tables. For corporate functions, we provide professional, uniformed staff and flexible menus to suit formal or informal occasions.

How long does it take to cook a Hog Roast?
A whole hog takes approximately 6–8 hours to roast slowly to perfection. We typically begin to cook the pig offsite, and will finish preparing onsite. We will arrive well in advance of your event to ensure everything is ready on time. If your venue has restrictions, we can pre-cook and finish on-site.
What happens if it rains?
The Great British weather doesn’t scare us! We come prepared with gazebos, so your event can go ahead come rain or shine. Our equipment is designed for outdoor use, and we’re used to catering in all conditions, from summer heatwaves to drizzly autumn afternoons. If your venue also allows it, we can carve the hog roast for you prior to our arrival and set up to cater indoors for you. Our priority is making sure your guests stay dry, your food stays hot, and your event runs smoothly whatever the weather.
Do you supply staff to serve the food?
Yes, every hog roast booking includes a chef who will cook, carve, and serve the hog for your guests. For larger events, we can also provide additional serving staff to help with sides, salads, and desserts.
Our team handles the full catering process, from setup and service to clearing away afterwards, so you don’t need to worry about a thing. We pride ourselves on being friendly, efficient, and professional, ensuring a smooth service and happy guests every time.
Do you provide any other catering options?
Yes, in addition to our traditional hog roasts, we also offer our BBQ Menu, Southern Slow Roast Menu, Festive Menu, and our Alfresco Menu. Many of our clients like to combine a hog roast with a BBQ or salad for added variety.
We can also provide desserts, canapés, and drink options, to complement your event. Whether you want a rustic outdoor feast or a more formal dining experience, we can tailor a menu to suit your theme, budget, and tastes.
