This weekend was a blockbuster one at Hog Roast Hove. With it being a rare Saturday Halloween you can be well assured that we had plenty of fun with many of our spooky themed events over the weekend. We saw all kinds of wonderful costumes across the weekend, including in our very own kitchens and offices as the Hog Roast Hove team got in on the fun of Halloween weekend.
But it was actually a corporate event from earlier on the Saturday afternoon that kicked us into the weekend nicely. As a corporate caterer we love nothing more than to work with our business clients to provide unique dining solutions to their events. Sometimes those solutions are for staff members in need of a good morale boost or deserving of a good reward for a strong quarter. Sometimes it is to entice customers into a shop or help to promote the business. Sometimes it is with a client that wants to look after their own customers – as this event was.
Yes this was a wonderful event with one of our corporate clients who runs various retirement homes in the UK. For Halloween weekend, they opted to organise some excellent catering with Hog Roasts Hove for one of their retirement complexes here in Hove. The invite was open to all residents to come on down for a fun afternoon where community could gather and enjoy a good hog roast roll or two, courtesy of their factors and the Hog Roast Hove team.
Our head chef Marco was informed that just shy of 50 guests would be in attendance. That meant more than enough hog roast to go around, as one of our prized pork roasts can typically feed about 100 alone. Double portions for everyone in that case! Residents could also enjoy our homemade sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, fresh apple sauce, a side of mixed salad and gourmet coleslaw, and an alternative veggie option of grilled veg and halloumi skewers with a chilled soft drink for each resident too.
