A unique corporate event to tell you all about this week from Hog Roast Pulborough, as the team headed out to the Coombeland Racing Stables in West Pulborough to provide stylish barbecue catering for the horse racing team at Shinco Racing Ltd.
This was an exciting one for the team at Hog Roast Pulborough. We’ve got a good couple of race enthusiasts in the team who were thrilled at the prospect of getting up close with some of the race horses out at the stables and also getting some behind the scenes time with the training team. Even amongst the rest of our team who aren’t so up to date with our British horse racing, even we can’t help but get excited come the Grand National and Cheltenham each year – plus, this event promised novel location to cater in and an industry that we don’t get hands on time with all too often.
But with the Hog Roast Pulborough team pulling up to the stables we weren’t the only ones with plenty reason to be excited. The Shinco Racing team were eagerly awaiting our very special barbecue lunch, due to be cooked fresh on site with the very best British meats and gourmet skills. Head chef Marco was ready for 50 guests to be up at his grill for fresh burgers, sausages, Thai chicken kebabs, meaty spare ribs, and our signature pulled pork – that’s right, it was the full complement from our very special gourmet barbecue range for this event with Shinco! The hog roast had been prepped for the roaster earlier in the morning so that it could continue cooking on the road and be fresh and ready come the 1PM serving time along with everything else. While Marco kept the hot meats and rolls coming, our serving team followed up by assisting guests with our range of delicious sides, including fresh chips, sweet potato fries, creamy gourmet coleslaw, and a refreshing Greek salad.
It was an excellent lunch event, and we had just enough time to catch a few glimpses of the stables and some of the horses before packing up and heading off again, ready for another event later in the day!
