Even when the summer season is over, the wedding dining doesn’t quite end at Hog Roast Ewhurst. This weekend, following a very successful bank holiday weekend to take us into September and call time on the summer season, the Hog Roast Ewhurst had the pleasure of joining a lovely couple who actually got married last year in a small ceremony for just close friends and family. Now, one year on, the pair were looking to host the celebration that they forewent last year and combine the day with the husband’s retirement too.
Two events for the price of one – sounded just excellent to us at Hog Roast Ewhurst. We were more than happy to fulfil the wishes of this lovely couple and give them the big wedding party they missed out on. We were informed that 80 guests would be in attendance, so of course we went to old reliable and cooked up our signature hog roast along with fresh and stylish accompaniments. This is a menu that very likely would have featured on a wedding day too, so it seemed just perfect for a belated celebration one year on. Plus, with 80 guests in attendance we knew our hog roast would serve the party well and ensure everyone got more than enough to enjoy.
With it being a duo celebration too, we reckoned that our dining had to suit both types of parties. Again our signature hog roast is great for a retirement. It is the right blend of both formal and informal depending on how you serve it, making it apt for both a wedding and a retirement celebration. We served everything buffet style so that guests could simply come by our serving table at their own leisure where the Hog Roast Ewhurst chefs and serving staff would be awaiting to pile their plates high with fresh pork, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, apple sauce, or BBQ pulled jackfruit or grilled veg and halloumi skewers as a vegan/veggie alternative, along with fresh chips, tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed leaves, and gourmet coleslaw.
As far as duo parties go, this was a brilliant one. The happy couple got their much awaited wedding celebration and hubby got to enjoy all the plaudits on retirement. From everyone at Hog Roast Ewhurst – congratulations!
