A valuable part of job as event caterers is that the Hog Roast Ferring team gets to be a part of some truly special occasions and initiatives. Over the years we gave worked all kinds of events, from your typical weddings to product launches for some of the biggest businesses in the world. But to us, the most valuable part of what we do is when we get to work with a customer that is working to make a real difference in the world. As a caterer we so often work alongside charities and special initiatives. Our dining has helped so many of these places to promote their services, sometimes celebrate them, and also just actually get out there and make a difference with the reward of a hog roast roll awaiting at the end of it.
Our highlighted job of this past week brings one such event and customer. A charitable organization here in Ferring, who this year are able to celebrate their 40th year working with those with difficult learning disabilities. Granting such people the tools they need and the support required to lead a more “normal” life is an invaluable thing, and it comes down to a whole lot of work by immense organizations over many decades. Celebrating that with a more relaxed atmosphere is a wonderful thing, and one that Hog Roast Ferring is immensely proud to be a part of.
So, then, let’s get to talking all about the food and the event itself! With 180 guests in attendance, we knew we’d need a menu that could satisfy quickly and efficiently. With it being the summer, we reckoned a barbecue was the best choice! Always a crowd pleaser in the summer, but at Hog Roast Ferring ours isn’t just any old barbecue, it comes specially made gourmet style! We’re talking handmade burgers, butcher’s quality sausages, as well as some creative options, such as our marinated ribs, Thai chicken kebabs, and even our signature hog roast. There was no roast required for this event, but we did have our kebabs, burgers and sausages, which flew from the grill straight to guest’s rolls and wraps over the course of a brilliant night!
