Hosted at a charming family farm, the event overflowed with activities catering to guests of all ages, becoming the talk of the town in no time. Among the myriad of attractions, one standout feature that left taste buds tingling and bellies full was Hog Roast Isfield’s delectable spread.
Sharing our passion for fresh, sustainable food, the lead event organiser, Lawrence, had invited Hog Roast Isfield to handle the catering – an offer we enthusiastically accepted! With 350 eager ticket holders in attendance, our team embarked on an early morning journey to the farm, armed with our top-of-the-line grill and a pledge to deliver an unforgettable dining experience.
Lawrence had chosen the Classic Hog Roast from our menu options, a timeless favourite that’s guaranteed to tantalise taste buds. As our crew worked tirelessly, the sight of the traditional spit roast in action captivated guests as the pig slowly rotated over real flames. The anticipation built as the skin turned a perfect golden hue, signalling its readiness for carving!
Under the skilful hands of our head chef, the succulent meat was expertly sliced and served on freshly baked gluten-free and wholemeal rolls, accompanied by delicious crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and homemade applesauce. Served on convenient disposable plates, guests could easily indulge in Hog Roast Isfield’s scrumptious grub while exploring the lively fair.
As Hog Roast Isfield worked hard to serve the crowds, the festival around us buzzed with excitement as circus performers, maypole dancers, and skilled artisans engaged attendees in a whirlwind of entertainment. Pop-up bars housed in converted horse boxes offered an array of refreshments, from craft ales and cocktails to soft drinks and hot beverages, ensuring everyone’s thirst was quenched. The weather cooperated splendidly, too, blessing the day with blue skies and sunshine!
Amidst the laughter and merriment, Hog Roast Isfield’s delicious offerings stood out, adding a theatrical flair to the event.
