One of the main perks of this job is that you get to meet all sorts of folk from all around the country while catering events. No event is ever the same, and no guest is therefore ever the same, but every now and then we have the privilege of having a few star sightings during our work, and lately it has felt like the celebs have been coming in a dime a dozen to Hog Roast Down to get the nation’s very best hog roast.
For example, rock and roll has come to Hog Roast Down this month – not that we weren’t already rock and roll! – as our wedding team had the privilege of catering for the wedding of Tyrone Wood, son to legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, and Faye Harris, daughter of the iconic Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris. An event so big it has even made the news outlets such as the Metro and Hello! Magazine – that’s right, Hog Roast Down have gone big time! We have more than a few old rock-heads at Hog Roast Down, so it truly was an honour to be a part of rock n’ roll history by bringing our hog roast to the happy couple. Tyrone was even gracious enough to get a quick pic with our Hog Roast Down chef before we then put an epic feast attuned to the spirit of rock n’ roll in all its style and brilliance.
