While Hog Roast Kingsnorth is famed for its involvement in weddings, birthday parties, Christenings and anniversary celebrations; private events aren’t the only thing we cater for. Since first opening the doors to our catering van, more than two decades ago, countless companies, both new and established, have trusted us to handle their corporate functions. So, when the owner of a budding business contacted us looking to spice up their first day of trading with one of our lip-smacking hog roasts, our team couldn’t wait to throw themselves into the necessary preparations.
Hoping to attract a large number of locals to the opening, the client had already advertised the event online and after having received a wave of positive responses, he asked Hog Roast Kingsnorth to prepare enough food for at least 100 people. As for the menu itself, the client had opted for our crowd-pleasing classic hog roast feast which offers the perfect combination of juicy meat and gluten-free rolls with a side of savoury stuffing, an applesauce accompaniment, and a vegetarian and vegan-friendly alternative of grilled veggie skewers with optional haloumi.
As the rain poured down, Hog Roast Kingsnorth followed the SatNav to the compact industrial estate where, under the protection of the catering gazebo, they began prepping the lunchtime menu. The Hogmaster Pro effortlessly transformed the whole pig into a succulent, golden masterpiece which when carved, revealed mouth-watering pulled pork encased in an irresistible layer of crispy crackling. With the main attraction complete, the team used freshly cut chunks of red onion, bell peppers and haloumi to create an abundance of veggie skewers which were served on flatbreads with tzatziki dip.
Despite the gloomy weather, the event saw a larger turnout than originally expected, with just over 100 people arriving to witness the opening of the shutters. Fortunately, our average size hog roasts can feed up to 120 people, and with the addition of the vegetarian alternative, there was more than enough food to go around.
The client was so impressed with the quality and amount of food that Hog Roast Kingsnorth had created which kept the guests warm as they took their first look inside the new store.
