Forget finding out your baby’s gender at your second sonogram appointment, or even waiting a whole nine months for a surprise at the birth; these days it’s all about the gender reveal party! For those who don’t know, this growing pregnancy trend encourages parents to be more creative when it comes to announcing to their friends and family whether they are having a bouncing baby boy or girl, and for expectant parents Lucy and John it meant organising an elaborate hog roast feast for the 100 guests who they had invited to share the special moment.
While searching for caterers, the happy couple discovered Hog Roast Tunbridge Wells and after taking a quick peek at our online menu options they decided to call up and discuss plans for their event with our resident catering manager. Eager to give their guests a luxurious experience, the pair selected our private party menu 5 which offers a more formal indoor meal with a selection of canapes, two main course options with a trio of side dishes and a duo of desserts to follow. With their booking placed and the arrangements finalised, Lucy and John were pleased to discover that the only thing they had left to do was let their guests know.
Preparing to impress the client with an exquisite meal, Hog Roast Tunbridge Wells made their way to the venue where they quickly set up the catering equipment in the function hall and got started on the buffet. Before long, the team had created a selection of five canapes including mini pizzas, wild mushroom bouchees and chicken satay; as well as the main course options of rosemary seasoned spring lamb with a mustard and dill sauce and slow roasted whole pig with all the trimmings. For dessert, they whipped up a rich chocolate torte and a lemon tarte and with time left to spare before the party was set to begin, they decorated the hall with pink and blue bunting, crisp white tablecloths and adorable centrepieces that the clients had picked out for the day.
Arriving guests were welcomed with platters of canapes which were served by the Hog Roast Tunbridge Wells catering crew making them all the more excited to try out the rest of the menu – but not before Lucy and John did the honours of popping the opaque balloon which revealed they were expecting a little girl!
