By hiring caterers for your event or party, you can spend more of your precious time with your guests and take much of the stress and worry off! Here at The Spitting Pig, we not only help you to do this but we also provide all kinds of options for different budgets and all kinds of food for different tastes. We can cook a succulent pig in front of you and your guests or spit roast a whole turkey or lamb, for example, and we can add potatoes, vegetables, salads if you prefer. Plus if any of your guests have dietary requirements, then we can also cater with alternative food options.
Earlier today, we catered for a morning corporate event for around 100 guests of employers, employees and business colleagues. The organiser of the event called us to ask about our famous hog roast in Albourne menus, but also asked if we could possibly also cater for vegetarians and some guests with allergies or intolerances. We’ve been in the business for many years now and always have vegetarian choices, which are often very popular with meat eaters, too (especially our homemade quiches). We have also seen the growing trend of people suffering from food allergies or intolerances, sadly, so know how important it is for us to offer options for those customers, too. As long as we have advance warning, we can certainly cater for any kind of diet, whether it’s gluten-free, dairy-free or wheat-free, for example.
For this business event, we needed to provide the food for meat eaters, vegetarians, gluten-free and wheat-free guests. The meat eaters (including those on a gluten-free and wheat-free diet) could enjoy our hog roast in Albourne, stuffing, apple sauce and condiments, as these are all suitable already. To make the guests ‘pigs in buns’ (our hog roast rolls), we just needed to bring along gluten-free and wheat-free bread rolls, too. Plus we provided a homemade mozzarella and tomato quiche for the vegetarian guests, which we warmed up before serving.
If your event or party has guests with particular dietary requirements, give us a call and ask how we can help – as we always can!
