Unfortunately, achieving that dreamlike fairytale wedding doesn’t come without its obstacles and as a result, it might not come as any surprise to those of you who have been through (or are currently going through) it, that planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things an adult can go through in life; next to moving house, losing a job and perhaps ironically – divorce. But it doesn’t have to be that way, and luckily for brides and grooms up and down the country, that’s where Hog Roast Crawley comes in! With years of experience under their aprons, our team knows firsthand just how important it is for newlyweds-to-be to find the right caterers to pull off their big day – and they pride themselves on doing just that.
Recently, the Hog Roast Crawley crew were hired by a loved-up pair to provide a delicious southern slow roast buffet at their wedding reception which took place at The Ifield Barn Theatre, a charming 700-year-old agricultural building that is fit for any fairytale love story. With catering manager Greg in charge of the big day, the team arrived ahead of the newlyweds and their 70 guests to set up the gazebos, equipment and most importantly, get started on the evening’s menu!
In spite of the gloomy skies, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy as the guests queued to fill their China plates with helpings of yummy creole pulled quarter of spiced lamb, Texan 24 hour beef brisket and cajun spiced locally sourced whole roast chickens. The succulent meats were paired with generous platters of sweet potato wedges, Greek salad, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and of course, creamy mac and cheese which were a huge hit among the attendees. For vegetarians, the Hog Roast Crawley team also whipped up a drool-worthy combination of grilled vegetable and haloumi skewers, served with pitta breads and a tzatziki dip which quickly became popular among even the meat-eaters!
The happy couple has since reached out to thank the Hog Roast Crawley team for giving them a stress-free wedding day with delicious food and friendly service which allowed them to relax and fully enjoy their first moments as a married couple.
