We were catering west at the weekend with Hog Roast Amberley. Catering for 500 guests and the event was held at a lovely large stately home. They were having an open day and wanted to feed the guests and we were pleased to be able to help.
We designed a menu and the organiser of the event was very impressed at the selection of Hog Roast Amberley food we had to offer. We placed the scores of chickens on the larger machine and on the smaller machine we placed some beef and lamb onto cook and on the underside of the larger machine we placed rows of potatoes, which would turn into fluffy jacket potatoes. As the food cooked we began to make the potatoes fillings and made an assortment we made a cheese and onion filling, tuna and sweet scorn and a spice rice filling we then made some salads and coleslaw. We also brought with us some freshly baked produce such as quiche, sausage rolls and mini savoury pasties. We had everything set to be served on time and as the clock struck three we were ready to serve.
We were faced with crowds and we soon had everyone served. The chickens were so moist and tender and the beef and lamb just fell off the bone so tender and juicy all were coming up to us and saying how amazing the Hog Roast Amberley food was and saying they were very impressed. The organiser said we had made the day! He really couldn’t thank us enough and said that the food was first class and he was not expecting it to be of the high quality it was especially on how much it all cost. We do hear that a lot but we keep costs down as much as possible and that helps customers keep coming back but having said that we never ever scrimp on quality. As we left we left some cards out for guests to take and lots picked one up on the way out we had a lovely day as we always do, no two jobs are ever the same and it makes our job so exciting.
