Excited, adults and children fled to the entrance of the field to see the big firework show. There were hundreds of fireworks waiting to show off their astonishing colours and ready to make a scene. At the fireworks, there was an estimate of 500 people – as there were so many people. Hog Roast Stanmer team had set up the two hog roasts ready to be served as soon as wanted. We set up outside not far from the crowd – that way we wouldn’t get in the way but we wouldn’t be too far away. As the gates opened at 7pm, the crowd soon followed their noses and rushed over to our gazebo to grab their slowly roasted succulent and juicy pork in the choice of either a crispy or soft floured bap with a choice to have our flavourful homemade apple sauce to accompany the pork – by the time the fireworks had started I had already had to restock the sauce 3 times and soon enough the first hog roast Stanmer had gone and we had started serving the second! As 8pm came, people gathered to the field and the show began- surprisingly but not surprisingly people were still coming to grab their baps and kids were too! Soon enough 9:30 came; the remarkable show came to an end and the thrilled costumers came to get their 2nd helping of our delicious baps and crispy crackling that had been cooked to perfection. The day came to a great end and the Spitting Pig team packed up and went away.
